this book was about taboos and how it is in our nature to go beyond ourself. we break taboos in order to experience something close to death. basically. there is a lot more to it.

Bataille is mesmerizing to say the very least! Imagine the degrees of decadence one experiences reading Bataille! and not to overstate the fact it is shocking to a dogmatic mind like mine. Bataille has the ability to invert worlds apart!
